Mobility Grants
The goal of the Mobility Grants instrument is to foster and facilitate the direct exchange between Switzerland-based and Asian-based research groups and to enable the mobility of early career scientists such as doctoral students. With stays in a partner research group in Asia or in Switzerland, respectively, the early career scientists will be motivated to spend part of their future academic career abroad while they are at the same time given the chance to learn new techniques, gain new perspectives, or use infrastructure directly relevant to their current research project.
Independently from the partner country, the programme will fund research stays with a monthly allowance and a return ticket. The mobility grants are open to all scientific disciplines and fields of research, including social sciences and humanities.
The Mobility Grants consist of the Young Researchers’ Exchange Programmes.
Current partner funding agencies:
- China Scholarship Council (CSC)
- Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS)
- National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF)
Negotiations to set up a programme with a partner funding agency in Thailand are on-going.
