Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF)

Swiss National Science Foundation Website

The Swiss Confederation has mandated the SNSF to fund research and promote early career scientists in Switzerland. The SNSF's strategy and objectives are geared to fulfilling this task and strengthening Swiss research as a whole.

The SNSF grants bilateral project funding for joint research projects.

swissnex is the Swiss global network connecting the dots in education, research, and innovation. Our mission is to support the outreach and active engagement of our partners in the international exchange of knowledge, ideas and talent.

The five swissnex locations and their outposts are established in the world’s most innovative hubs. Together with around twenty Science and Technology Offices (STO) and Counselors (STC) based in Swiss Embassies, they contribute to strengthen Switzerland’s profile as a world-leading innovation hotspot.

Research.swiss is a centralised platform showcasing scientific and technological cooperation opportunities between Switzerland and the rest of the world.

Launched by the Swiss State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI) in collaboration with Swissnex, the new platform aims to facilitate collaboration in research and innovation by providing researchers, higher education institutions and innovators with a unique overview of the most important funding instruments, calls for joint research projects, and mobility programmes.
