Early-Career Grant 2024 Call
Background
The main purpose of the Early-Career Grant Call is to foster and facilitate the direct exchange between Swiss research groups and their Asian research partners and to enable the mobility of early-career researchers from Swiss Universities, public research institutes, Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) and Universities of Teacher Education (UTEs). Research stays in countries/territories in East Asia or Southeast Asia may motivate researchers to spend part of their later scientific career abroad while they are at the same time given the chance to learn a new technique or use some infrastructure directly relevant to their current research project.
The program will fund research stays for a duration of a minimum of 3 months and up to 6 months and is open to all scientific fields including social sciences, humanities, design and the arts.
Eligibility
The LH Asia invites doctoral students (who have completed at least two years of their doctorate by the start of the research stay) currently working in a research group at an eligible Swiss institution to apply for a research stay in East or Southeast Asia. Doctoral students must return to Switzerland after their research stay to complete their doctoral studies. UAS/UTE researchers with min 2+ and max 5 years of experience by the application deadline are also eligible to apply.
